Muscle and Joint
Joint pain can affect just one joint or many, and can be caused by injury, overuse, or bursitis (an inflammation or irritation of the bursa, a fluid-filled sac that acts to reduce friction in a joint). Osteoarthritis can also cause joint pain and most commonly affects the knees, hips, spine and hands.
Common causes of arm pain
The causes of arm pain can range from a simple strain to a trapped nerve. But there are other causes such as:
Tennis elbow or golfer's elbow
These common conditions cause pain and discomfort in the elbow. It is caused by inflammation of the tendons in the elbow. Although commonly named after sporting injuries, any repetitive activity that involves force and constant gripping, such as using tools, can cause these conditions.
